that is the elder from the outer sect. first his son committed a bunch of crimes and chen feng almost killed him. than he intervened saving his son. than the outer sect master stops him from killing mc. now he has betrayed the sect in many ways so the outer sect master gave him the sword to kill him with his decree. you don't remember the episodes when they lured the mc with the mother and daughter and they killed the mother with poison?
